The Pathway, in print

The workbooks.

Four study workbooks built for the way nursing students actually learn — by writing in the margins, working through problems, and circling back. Available in paperback for active study and Kindle for portable reference. All four are free to read on Kindle Unlimited.

How they're built

Designed to be written in.

The paperback editions are formatted at 8.5″ × 11″ with mirror margins specifically so you can write in them. Work the calculations by hand. Annotate the drug class tables. Fill in the case-study prompts. Build the kind of marked-up, personalized study reference that becomes more valuable the longer you use it.

The Kindle editions are reflowable and reader-friendly, built for portable review when you're between clinicals or sitting in a waiting room. Most students keep the paperback on their desk for active study and the Kindle for everywhere else.

The four titles

Choose where to start.

Each book stands alone. You don't need to read them in order, and you don't need to own all four. Start with the subject that matches where you are in your program right now.

Dosage Calculation

Mastering Medication Math for Nursing School and the NCLEX

Move from math anxiety to medication safety confidence. Step-by-step formulas, worked examples, and practice problems for the calculations nursing students see in fundamentals, skills lab, clinicals, and on the NCLEX.

Best for

First-semester students through NCLEX preparation. The book grows in difficulty alongside the program.

Pharmacology

A Nursing Student's Guide to Safe Medication Practice

Stop memorizing endless drug facts. Learn to recognize what's safe, unsafe, expected, and urgent — by class, action, and the nursing responsibilities that surround every medication. Built around drug classes, not flashcards.

Best for

Med-surg through NCLEX. Especially valuable for students about to start clinical med passes.

Clinical Judgment

Cue Recognition, Prioritization, and the Next Generation NCLEX

Turn nursing knowledge into safe decisions. A practical introduction to the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model, with case-based practice that mirrors the question types used on Next Generation NCLEX.

Best for

First clinical experiences through NCLEX. The reasoning skills here apply to every patient encounter.

Prioritization & Delegation

Management of Care for Nursing Students and the NCLEX

Decide what matters first, who should do it, and what is safest. Frameworks for "who do you see first" and "what can you delegate" — the priority-setting logic students need across senior practicum, leadership courses, and management-of-care NCLEX questions.

Best for

Med-surg through transition to practice. Essential for senior-year and NCLEX preparation.

All four titles are part of the Nursing School & NCLEX Preparation Pathway, published through Professional Development Publishing. Each book is also paired with a quiz app and (for select titles) a full Udemy course.
