The Pathway, on video

The courses.

Full-length video instruction on Udemy, taught by Dr. David Zapencki. Each course pairs with the corresponding workbook and quiz app — the same material, taught in three reinforcing formats.

How they're taught

Worked examples, not lecture slides.

Every course is structured around worked examples — actual problems, actual cases, talked through out loud the way I'd walk through them with a student in office hours. Less "here's a definition," more "here's what you do when you see this patient and here's why."

Courses are hosted on Udemy, which means lifetime access after purchase, frequent sales (often well below the listed price), Q&A directly with the instructor, and Udemy's standard 30-day refund policy. Watch on the web, on the Udemy app, or download for offline study before clinicals.

The four courses

One live now, three in production.

The full Pathway is being built out subject by subject. Dosage Calculation is available now. The other three are at various stages of production and will release through 2026 — sign up for the newsletter to be notified when each goes live.

Dosage Calculation

Available now

A complete video course covering every calculation type nursing students encounter — from basic conversions through complex IV drip rates and pediatric weight-based dosing. Each section pairs the math with the clinical reasoning behind why it matters at the bedside.

Pharmacology

In production — coming 2026

Drug classes, actions, side effects, and nursing considerations — taught the way they need to be applied at the bedside. Built to replace endless flashcards with the kind of pattern recognition that holds up under clinical pressure and on the NCLEX.

Clinical Judgment

Coming 2026

Walk through the NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model with case-based instruction. Cue recognition, hypothesis generation, action selection, and outcome evaluation — the reasoning structure underneath every Next Generation NCLEX question.

Prioritization & Delegation

Coming 2026

The video instruction layer for management-of-care thinking. "Who do you see first?" and "What can you delegate?" frameworks taught through worked examples that mirror NCLEX item formats and senior-year case scenarios.
